One big issue or invadable question/problem that comes up after being saved is “what’s next?”. Where do I go from here? Do I go and sell all my stuff and become a missionary? Do I go door to door on a bike and spread the gospel? All kidding aside none of these scenarios are wrong. If God called you to do it. However, often times God’s greatest missionary trip may only send you across the street or driveway to your neighbor’s house. It’s been said “if God calls you to be a plumber you’d be sinning if you went and became a pastor.” We are all called with a purpose and through pray and reading Gods word you will find that purpose. Nothing is worse than a person with the wrong purpose or no purpose in life at all.
One of my favorite quotes is “we may not all be called to be preachers, but we are all called to be reachers for Christ.” Gaining an understanding of your purpose and faith can only come from “… hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” I understand reading the bible can be intimidating for some people, or some people may think they are educated and do not need the bible. However, “ it’s been said “the bible is so deep that a theologian can swim in it and never touch the bottom, but is shallow enough a child can wade in it and fear not drowning” and that’s a poetic way of saying it safe for all ages!
